In my hometown of business, there was a gal who was helping her friend to sell their home themselves. She was taking calls for them and opening the house for them. The Local Realtors were miffed that they did not get the listing even though the Seller offered a commission if a Realtor brought the buyer so they complained to State Law Governing bodies that she was practicing without a license and therefore forced the seller to use a Realtor. This is not right. A seller should be able to ask a friend or a neighbor for help and not have it be against the law. The Realtors will stop at nothing to keep their Elite Club for Realtor Members only. Even though it only takes a week to get a Real Estate License.
